Description & Background:
Were seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the Hinkley Point C project, the UKs first new nuclear power station in a generation. Youll be responsible for delivering project activities within program requirements, ensuring safety, quality, time, and cost targets are met. This role is critical to supporting the UKs NetZero targets through successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Drive contract/package delivery to meet safety, time, and budget requirements
• Develop and implement strategies aligned with program execution plans
• Maintain effective stakeholder communications
• Monitor progress against milestones and manage program budgets
• Forecast and resolve project issues and risks
• Implement lessons-learned and knowledge-capture processes
• Build effective relationships with project team members
• Ensure H&S compliance and integration with HSSE team
• Maintain quality measures through Quality team integration
• Lead and develop teams to exceed project expectations
• Manage electrical systems, infrastructure, and protection requirements
Experience Required:
• 10+ years industry experience
• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Project Management qualification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner)
• Strong project management and cost management skills
• Experience with large-scale complex projects
• Proven stakeholder management abilities
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
• Understanding of nuclear quality assurance
Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience in regulated sectors, preferably nuclear
• Background in electrical equipment design and installation
• Strong change management capabilities
• Multi-level stakeholder engagement experience
• Nuclear sector knowledge
Salary, Hours and Location:
• £70,000 Annual Salary plus car allowance
• 9-day fortnight working pattern
• Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset
• Permanent, Full time
